**LONDON, March 8, 2023** – Bitstamp, one of the world’s longest-standing cryptocurrency exchanges, today announced the appointment of Jesse Zagotta as its new US Chief Executive Officer. Zagotta, who joins Bitstamp from Kraken, where he served as Managing Director of Business Development, will be responsible for leading the company’s growth in the US market.
“We are delighted to welcome Jesse to Bitstamp,” said Nejc Kodrič, Bitstamp CEO. “He brings a wealth of experience in the cryptocurrency industry, and I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to grow our business in the US.”
Zagotta has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Kraken, he held senior leadership positions at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
