Bitcoin (BTC) saw inflows into short products pick up alongside its recent rally, according to data from CoinShares.
The crypto investment firm said in its latest weekly report that short products saw inflows of $5.7 million last week, bringing their total assets under management (AUM) to $54.5 million.
This was the first week of inflows for short products since the week of January 17, when they saw inflows of $1.2 million.
Long products, on the other hand, saw outflows of $1.7 million last week, bringing their total AUM to $5.3 billion.
This was the second consecutive week of outflows for long products, following outflows of $1.9 million the week before.
Despite the inflows into short products, CoinShares said that the overall trend for Bitcoin investment products remains positive, with inflows of $4.0 million last week bringing their total AUM to $6.0 billion.
This is the highest level of AUM for Bitcoin investment products since the week of February 25.
“The recent price action in Bitcoin has been volatile, but the trend for investment products remains positive,” said CoinShares.
“This suggests that investors are continuing to see value in Bitcoin, even as the price fluctuates.”
