In the 2003 game "Sonic Heroes," a group of villains known as the Babylon Rogues disguise themselves as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in order to steal the Chaos Emeralds. And in the 2010 game "Sonic Generations," a character named Mephiles the Dark creates a fake Sonic in order to trick the real Sonic into helping him destroy the world.
While these imposters may have been successful in fooling some people, they were ultimately no match for the real Sonic the Hedgehog.
