Whinstone U.S. currently operates a 200-megawatt (MW) Bitcoin mining facility in Rockdale, Texas. The facility is powered by 100% renewable energy and is expected to generate approximately 1.6 exahash per second (EH/s) of Bitcoin mining power upon completion.
HIVE will acquire Whinstone U.S. for a total of $2.8 million, consisting of $1.8 million in cash and $1 million in HIVE common shares. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
