A police officer in the United Kingdom has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to extort Bitcoin from a man he met on a dating app.

Once inside the room, the officer allegedly threatened to arrest the victim if he did not hand over 100 Bitcoin (worth around $500,000 at the time).
The victim managed to escape and reported the incident to the police. The officer was arrested the following day and is currently being held in custody.
