Five leading UK associations have come together to form a new alliance that will focus on driving forward the development of a regulatory framework for digital assets.
The Crypto-Asset and Digital Markets (CADM) Alliance comprises the Association of British Insurers (ABI), the British Bankers' Association (BBA), the Law Society of England and Wales, the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), and the UK Finance industry body.
The alliance said it would work with policymakers and regulators to ensure that the UK remains a "world-leading" destination for crypto-asset businesses. It also said it would promote the development of a "fair, efficient and sustainable" market for digital assets.

The CADM Alliance said it would focus on four key areas:
* Developing a regulatory framework that is proportionate to the risks posed by crypto-assets
* Promoting the development of a fair, efficient and sustainable market for digital assets

* Raising awareness of the risks associated with crypto-assets
