US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Tuesday that the department is looking "carefully" at the illicit uses of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Yellen made the comments during a House Financial Services Committee hearing on the President's proposed budget for fiscal year 2023. She was asked by Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) about the Treasury's plans to regulate cryptocurrencies.
