Đây là lần thứ hai trong tháng này chính phủ đã điều chỉnh giá bán lẻ của các sản phẩm dầu mỏ.Sự điều chỉnh trước đó được thực hiện vào ngày 11 tháng 7, khi giá xăng RON 95 được tăng thêm 6.000 VND/lít.
Lý do điều chỉnh giá gần đây là do giá dầu thế giới giảm.Giá dầu thô Brent đã giảm từ hơn 100 đô la/thùng xuống khoảng 95 đô la/thùng trong những tuần gần đây.
